One in the Bag

Pleased to announce that I’ve just finished my first story of the year.

It’s nothing epic – just a wee drabble (that’s a story of exactly 100 words, fact fans) – that I’ve written for The Great Lakes Drabble Contest #10. It’s called GUILTY PLEASURES, and I’ve I’ve spend this evening writing, revising and editing it and now I’ve just submitted that bad boy.

It’s may not sound like a major achievement but when you haven’t written a piece of fiction in over ten months, it’s nice to know that you’re capable of knocking a story together, however brief.

Now that I’ve got that one out of the way, I can move onto something more substantial.


Goals and Targets

Wow, three posts in as many days!

If my previous experience running a blog has taught me nothing else, it’s that you should not get used to this particular state of affairs. Chalk it up to New Year’s exuberance, and draw a line under it.

I’m not saying that this kind of pace won’t continue, but I wouldn’t hold your breath if I were you.

So, what’s today’s wee chat all about? As the title suggests, it’s my goals and targets for 2018, both personally and professionally.
