About Me

I am a civil servant, part-time copywriter, and avid book reader from Birkenhead on the Wirral peninsula. Fiction has been my addiction for as long as I can remember, and this blog is my place to air my views on the entire gamut of literature, along with book reviews, and interviews with some of my favourite authors.

While I am unashamedly pro-diversity in my reading habits, I also refuse to deny the importance and talent of the many writers whose views are directly counter to my own. I see no inherent contradiction in despising racism whilst enjoying the work of H. P. Lovecraft, nor in hating homophobia, but appreciating the nuances of Ender’s Game. If either of these stances offend you, then I’m okay with that. Maybe this site isn’t for you.

I live in Birkenhead with my wife and two kids, and more books than I am ever likely to get through.

I also think that the world could do with more rum.
